We are looking for a full-time, hardworking, self-motivated individual to join our Administrative/Finance Team as a Cash Application Specialist. This role involves providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to Donnellon McCarthy Enterprises. Their main responsibilities will include reconciling multiple bank accounts as well as receiving and posting customer payments and researching all cash variances daily. An understanding and background in cash management including daily bank reconciliation are required. This person must be detail oriented, highly motivated, hardworking, and willing to learn as we grow as a company.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

As the Cash Application Specialist, you will be responsible for reconciling multiple bank accounts daily as well as researching any variances. You will need to be detail oriented and organized as this is a key position for the daily operations at Donnellon McCarthy Enterprises. You will also work with Accounts Payable and the Billing Team, as needed, to research any variances and customer account issues. As we continue to grow, you must be willing to learn and grow with the company. There will be some cross training within the Administrative/Finance Team so that you can fill in when needed and someone would be able to assist you if needed.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Daily reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
  • Receiving and posting customer payments
  • Research any cash variances daily
  • Assist the Billing Team with customer account research
  • Research and post 3rd party payments, as needed
  • Credit card reconciliation
  • Work with Accounts Payable to ensure that everything is being paid in a timely manner
  • Cross train with the other roles within the Administrative/Finance team to ensure that we can step in when needed
  • Work as a team to ensure that we are all working in the most effective and efficient way possible
  • Any other related duties as assigned by the Controller

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highschool Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; or equivalent education and experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in cash management experience including daily bank reconciliation
  • General understanding of accounting concepts and procedures with extensive attention to detail
  • Ability to mine and interpret large sets of data
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy individual workload to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills; demonstrated professional, tactful problem-solving skills with personal presence to interface with corporate decision makers
  • Proficient in MS Excel required, MS Word experiences a plus
  • Polished professional, articulate, excellent writing and speaking skills
  • Must have excellent proven problem-solving skills, and can self-train on all systems and processes
  • Must be able to function effectively in a high paced, high demand environment
